Summary Ketotifen failed to protect against cat fur allergen induced asthma in a double blind placebo‐controlled trial in ten asthmatic children. Disodium cromoglycate gave effective protection against the immediate and the late asthmatic reactions but there were no significant differences between the effects of ketotifen and a placebo.
