Summary During the course of a home visiting intervention programme to 61 families with an infant with Down's syndrome, parents were asked how many home visits they had received from their family health visitor and how many times they had attended the child health clinic in the preceding 6 weeks. Parents' comments on the help received from the health visitors were also recorded at each 6‐weekly visit. This paper presents the data collected for the first 12 months of each infant's life.
