S ummary . An unstable haemoglobin, Hb‐Perth, β32 (B14) Leu→Pro, is described. The patient had a haemolytic anaemia with a T ½ 51 Cr RBC survival of 8 days, Hb 10–12 g/100 ml and had post splenectomy Heinz body formation.
