S ummary . To provide high titre plasma for the preparation of anti‐D immunoglobulin, three groups of group A Rh negative (cde/cde) male volunteers, totalling 34 men, were immunized with Group A Rh positive (cDE/cde) blood. Twenty‐three men (68%) developed Rhesus antibodies. The importance of adequate safeguards in the planning of such immunization schemes, as well as continued medical supervision, is stressed.
