SUMMARY A test to detect P.N.H. red cells when exposed to fresh serum in a sucrose‐veronal‐albumin buffer solution of low ionic strength, pH 7.6, is described. The serological findings suggest that the basis of the test is another example of the peculiar sensitivity of P.N.H. cells to complement in the presence of antibody.
