Summary We describe a case of cutaneous Mycobacterium kansasii infection in a 56‐year‐old man with acquired immunodeficiency syndrome, who received treatment with trimethoprim‐sulphamethoxazole for Pneumocystis carinil pneumonia. Resolution of the cutaneous lesion was observed without specific treatment.
