Summary Various skin changes have been described in algodystrophy, but the association of hypertrichosis with this condition is poorly documented. We describe a patient who developed algodystrophy after a mild inflammatory arthritis, in association with a number of skin manifestations, including hypertrichosis. We suggest a mechanism to explain this particular association.
