summary The case is reported of a child who presented with brownish macules and papules on the face and in whom biopsies confirmed a diagnosis of benign cephalic histiocytosis. The clinical and histological features of our case are typical for this rare self‐healing non‐Langerhans cell histiocytic disorder.
