SUMMARY The effect of nicotinamide on the phototest response was investigated in 14 patients suffering from polymorphous light eruption (PMLE). In contrast to the favourable effect in the prevention of PMLE reported by other groups, oral nicotinamide did not affect the phototesting results in our patients.
