SUMMARY Biopsies from an area of livedo reticularis and adjacent to a leg ulcer in a woman with polyarteritis nodosa showed florid angioendothelial proliferation simulating angiosarcoma. This angioproliferative reaction has not been described previously in polyarteritis nodosa. Its microscopic differentiation from angiosarcoma is important.
