SUMMARY Twenty‐five patients with symmetrical constitutional eczema of the hands, resistant to topical treatment, took part in a double‐blind trial which showed that 300 rad (3 Gy) of conventional superficial X‐ray therapy was superior to 900 rad (9 Gy) of Grenz ray therapy (both given in three divided doses at 21 day intervals).
