SUMMARY Fourteen cases of Hutchinson's lentigo maligna and eight further cases with nodular invasive areas in whom liquid nitrogen spray has been curative are reported. We suggest that in view of its simplicity and efficacy, cryotherapy is the treatment of choice for the macular phase and possibly also for the nodular invasive stage.
