SUMMARY Erythroderma is described in a 2‐year‐old child with coeliac disease, who died of fungal pneumonia. The skin eruption commenced the day after a gluten‐free diet was instituted and proved intractable to treatment, whereas the signs of malabsorption were swiftly controlled. We could establish no connection between the cutaneous and intestinal disorders.
