SUMMARY Sarcoidosis in the Bantu differs from the same condition in other populations mainly in the severity and the more destructive nature of the lesions. Localization, immune responses and treatment yield similar findings to those met with elsewhere, but necrosis within the granulomata may be prominent and deforming.
