SUMMARY Seventy‐four patients with psoriasis underwent a combined topical treatment with an 8‐methoxypsoralen solution and black light. In thirty‐four patients the skin lesions healed; in twenty‐three patients they improved considerably. Eleven patients showed only a moderate regression of the lesions, whilst in six patients treatment was for various reasons discontinued during the first phase, The 8‐methoxypsoralen‐black light therapy can be performed in out‐patients and has the advantage over dithranol treatment of being entirely clean. Relapses are not resistant to further similar treatment.
