Iron in finger‐nails and in the liver

SUMMARY The mean iron content of finger‐nails of 113 apparently normal subjects was found to be 67.6 μg/g dry nail (±43.7). There was no age or sex variation. No relationship was found between the concentration of iron in finger‐nails and that stored in the liver.
