SUMMARY This paper describes the occurrence of pemphigus vulgaris in a 46‐year‐old female with a thymic tumour. The myasthenia gravis went into remission within a few months of thymectomy, but the patient continued to need steroids for pemphigus vulgaris for a further 5 years. The histological appearances of the thymic tumour and skin and the serological findings are described.
