Summary.— The cutaneous reactions produced by the irritant compounds o ‐chlorobenzylidenemalononitrile, and ω‐chloroacetophenone, have been studied on human subjects. ω‐Chloroacetophenone has been shown to present a far greater cutaneous hazard than o ‐chlorobenzylidenemalononitrile when applied directly to the skin. The cutaneous reactions produced are worse when the irritant is moistened.
