Summary.— Three hundred and forty‐six West Indian children aged 0 to 11 were examined for mongolian spots and Voigt's lines. The incidence of mongolian spots showed a linear drop with age; they were present in 95% of children under a year and 3% of children aged 10. Thus they are common in children over a year. Linear differences in pigmentation along the anterior border of the arm were found in 26% of the 235 children.
