Summary.— A case of erythropoietic protoporphyria is described. To our knowledge this is the second to be reported in Jugoslavia. The disease started at 3 years of age, with skin photosensitivity. burning and itching of the face and hands. Symptoms and signs were present almost throughout the year, with only short periods of freedom. In recent years the disease had tended to decrease in severity, but lately she has developed some bullous haemorrhagic lesions on the feet. Increased values of RBC protoporphyrin, and to a lesser extent of coproporphyrin, were found. Increased values of faecal protoporphyrin and coproporphyrin were also found. Urinary porphyrins were within normal limits.
