SUMMARY.— A comparison of the effects of intralesional triamcinolone acetonide and its less soluble derivative triamcinolone hexacetonide in alopecia areata has shown that both steroids produce a constant linear rate of growth of hair tuft, and the effect of a single injection can persist for at least 9 months.
