SUMMARY The sweat response to iontophoresis with pilocarpine was measured in the clinically normal skin between the lesions of psoriasis and in normal‐looking skin of a control group of subjects. The sweat rate was found not to be affected by complete removal of the stratum corneum either in the normal‐looking skin of patients with psoriasis or in the healthy skin of control subjects. It is concluded that sweat duct occlusion is not a feature of normal skin or of the skin between the lesions of psoriasis.
