Summary The sweat gland response to acetylcholine was measured in atopic and non‐atopic subjects throughout 1969. Atopic patients showed both an increased sensitivity and a higher production of sweat throughout the year. These findings support the assumption of a defect in the autonomic vegetative system in atopics.
