SUMMARY.— Two patients are reported with ichthyosis linearis circumflexa as the cutaneous manifestation of a syndrome resembling Netherton's disease. There were multiple defects of the hair shaft, ranging from simple variation in calibre to trichorrhexis nodosa, bamboo hairs and cup and ball deformities of many types. The histological appearances of the follicles are described and the possible significance of an associated aminoaciduria is discussed.
