SUMMARY. —Chronic polymorphic light eruption is described in identical twin girls. Although the clinical features in the 2 patients were essentially similar the lesions differed in their age of onset and in their extent. Detailed photo testing showed the action spectrum for light sensitivity to lie both within the sunburn range and in the long ultra‐violet. The twins differed in their phototest reactions, and one twin who was tested twice at an interval of 2 years showed some variation in response over this period.
