. A total of 495 zander, Lucioperca lucioperca L., were marked using two types of tag and released into two lowland English fisheries. A totai of 168 recaptures were recorded and this provided information on zander movements. Zander populations were found to consist of two components, those which moved very little and those which wandered more widely. No relation was noted between zander size and distance or rate of movements.
