Patients attending the National Spinal Injuries Centre have large sets of notes, comprised of multiple volumes (Fig. 1), and they require frequent anaesthetics. To help find anaesthetic charts quickly amongst other paperwork, we are adding syringe drug labels to the edges of our charts (Fig. 2). We would prefer to use redundant yellow propofol labels but they give little contrast to our current yellow clinical notes folder; red neuromuscular blocking drugs and orange midazolam labels stand out the best.
