Summary Intraperitoneal hyperthermic perfusion is a method of regional chemotherapy shown to be effective in the prevention and treatment of peritoneal metastases. General anaesthesia for a patient who required this procedure is described. Guidelines for management are suggested, with particular emphasis on temperature control, fluid and electrolyte balance and postoperative care.
