Summary A patient who presented with nasal obstruction 4 months after prolonged pernasal tracheal intubation is described. The cause of the obstruction was an adhesion which extended from the septum to the inferior turbinate. The evidence in support of long‐term pernasal tracheal intubation is presented and the aetiology of this complication is discussed.
