Summary A case report of an intracranial subdural haematoma following spinal anaesthesia in a 63‐year‐old man is presented. The pathophysiology of this possible complication seems similar to that of post‐spinal headache. A survey of patients in this hospital failed to reveal any likely case of subdural haematoma as a complication of spinal anaesthesia in almost 24000 anaesthetics.
