Summary An analysis of woody vegetation in Tsavo National Park (East) by extensive variable‐plot sampling indicates that the vegetation had been differentially destroyed up to 1966, but that by 1967 considerable local shrub regeneration had taken place. This may indicate that Commiphora woodland will become re‐established over much of the park.
