Summary A sample of 530 marihuana users, classified according to five use patterns (trial users, past users, occasional regular and daily current users), were asked their experiences and opinions with respect to eight areas related to the dangers of marihuana use: experienced harmful effects; potential dangers to self; type of harm caused to others; potential dangers to society; reasons for possibly discontinuing use by current users; reasons for having discontinued use by past users; legal dangers; and types of people whom users would not recommend use marihuana.
