Summary Sixty‐seven chronic alcoholics admitted to the ward for alcoholics at the Lillhagen Hospital in Gothenburg were tested psychometrically for signs of cerebral disjunction. It was found that 83.6% of all patients had signs of cerebral dysfunction in at least three of the tests. Only one patient showed no such signs at all.
