Summary The following paper gives cm account of the prevalence of alcoholism within American industry. It examines the correlation between alcoholism and certain types of work, job classification and jot stresses. After outlining the way this problem is at present being approached in the United States, a farther programme of action for operation within industry itself is discussed.
