Summary. Rosa ‘Cantabrigiensis’ is a hybrid whose history is connected with Cambridge University Botanic Garden where it was raised and first recognised in 1922. Its origin in the experimental work on Rosa by Charles Hurst is discussed, and its likely parentage is given.
