A 52‐year‐old Japanese female with a human head sized lump on the medial femoral region of her right thigh is described. The histopathological diagnosis after the excision of the tumor was an ordinary type of schwannoma composed of two types of tissue, Antoni types A and B. The tumor was 20 × 15 × 12 cm in size and 2250 g in weight; this is probably the biggest of all the reported cases of schwannoma on the extremities in Japan.
