Phototests were carried out in a patient with acute febrile neutrophilic dermatosis (Sweet's syndrome). The action spectrum of positive phototests was in the UVB range. Abnormal papular reaction was observed at uninvolved skin exposed to 5 MEDs with sun lamps. The cutaneous lesions were reproduced at the site of previous involvement and also in skin adjacent to existing lesion by 5 MED‐exposure. Another patient developed the disorder shortly after extensive sun exposure. These findings suggest that Sweet's syndrome may be provoked or aggravated by sunlight.
