The so‐called mobile encapsulated lipoma of Sahl was seen in a 10‐year‐old boy. It was characterized by a distinct eosinophilic capsule containing degenerating fatty tissue which was separating or had separated from the neighboring tissue. It appeared to be a type of adiponecrosis, not a lipoma.
