Fast lithium ion conducting glass‐ceramics have been successfully prepared from the pseudobinary system 2[Li 1+ x Ti 2 Si x P 3‐ x O 2 ]‐AlPO 4 . The major phase present in the glass‐ceramics was LiTi 2 P 3 O 12 in which Ti 4+ ions and P 5+ ions were partially replaced by Al 3+ ions and Si 4+ ions, respectively. Increasing x resulted in a considerable enhancement in conductivity, and in a wide composition range extremely high conductivity over 10 ‐3 S/cm was obtained at room temperature.
