The homogeneity ranges of phases Sr 4−x Ln 2x/3 Ti 4 O 12 , in which Ln = Sm to Lu, have been established using X‐ray diffraction (XRD) analysis. It was found that the maximum value of x is dependent on the ionic radius of the lanthanide element. The effect of hydrogen reduction on single‐phase and multiphasic preparations containing Sr‐Eu(III) titan‐ ates has been studied. The replacement of the lanthanide element in such Sr‐Ln compounds by a mixture of two lanthanides that have an average ionic radius similar to the single lanthanide was examined.
