Ferroelectric ceramics are strong candidates to provide thin‐film resonant microstructures for future telecommunications applications. The frequency ranges of greatest commercial interest are the VHF and UHF bands. In these bands it is especially difficult to obtain adequate and reproducible characterizations of resonance behavior. We have developed a highly accurate equivalent network for these frequencies. Descriptions in circuit terms permit representation of the ceramic properties in a form directly accessible to the designer of the equipment in which the resonator will be embedded. In this communication we introduce the new network, and give typical parameters for a practical application.
