The ternary system SrO‐CeO 2 ‐TiO 2 was investigated using X‐ray diffractometry. The formation of a new compound, Sr 2 Ce 2 Ti 5 O 16 , was established, and its compatibilities with SrO, SrCeO 3 , and SrTiO 3 were studied. The results revealed the existence of a series of compounds Sr 6–12x Ce 6x Ti 5 O 16 and solid solutions Sr 2+n Ce 2 Ti 5+n O 16+3n ( n ≤ 6).
