Electron spin resonance linewidths of Cr 3+ and Fe 3+ in rutile were measured in samples doped with Cr and Fe. The linewidth was found to change in a predictable way with Cr and Fe concentration. The experimental results show that the technique can be used to measure, rapidly and nondestructively, small concentrations of Cr and Fe in commercial TiO 2 .
