Combined oxide additives (Y 2 O 3 , CaO, La 2 O 3 , CeO 2 , SiO 2 , TiO 2 , and Fe 2 O 3 ) were investigated as AIN sintering aids. AIN can be fully sintered at 1600°C to substantial thermal conductivity (92 W/(m·K)) using a multiple sintering aid of Y 2 O 3 , CaO, SiO 2 , La 2 O 3 , and CeO 2 . This lowtemperature material has small grain size (1 to 3 μm).
