The thermodynamic data for the YO 1.5 –BaO, BaO‐CuO x , and YO 1.5 –CuO x quasi‐binary systems were optimized from experimental phase diagrams. They were used to calculate tentative phase diagrams for the YO 1.5 –BaO—CuO x quasi‐ternary system. The equilibrim liquidus surface and the isothermal sections of the ternary system at 900°, 925°, 950°, 975°, and 1000°C were calculated. The isopleths containing YBa 2 Cu 3 O 7‐δ were also calculated.
