The existence of eucryptite, spodumene, carnegieite, nepheline, and albite is very well known. To establish the phase diagram of the system LiAlSiO 4 ‐NaAlSiO 4 ‐SiO 2 , high‐SiO 2 equilibria and the sections LiAlSi 2 O 6 ‐NaAlSi 3 O 8 , LiAlSi 2 O 6 ‐NaAlSiO 4 , LiAlSiO 4 ‐NaAlSiO 4 , and LiAlSiO 4 ‐NaAlSi 3 O 8 were examined. The joins LiAlSi 2 O 6 ‐NaAlSi 3 O 8 , LiAlSi 2 O 6 ‐NaAlSiO 4 , and LiAlSiO 4 ‐NaAlSiO 4 were established down to 800°C at atmospheric pressure.
