The self‐diffusion of sodium ions in xAl 2 O 3 ‐(100‐x)Na,P 2 O 6 glasses (2.44 < × <25.92 mol%) was measured from ∼ 170°C to near the glass transition temperature. The sodium diffusion coefficient decreased only by a factor of 2 to 3 with increasing Al 2 O 3 concentration.
