The thermal diffusivity of hot‐pressed SiC /BN composites is shown to exhibit a high degree of anisotropy with respect to the hot‐pressing direction as a result of preferred orientation of the BN phase. This effect is particularly pronounced at the higher BN contents at both room and elevated temperatures.
