A microstructural study of a lead‐lanthanum zirconate‐titanate was conducted to examine the effects of the lead oxide used as a sintering aid. Although amorphous grain‐boundary phases are present in lead zirconate‐titanates sintered by a similar procedure, no such phase was found by careful microscopic examination.
