Ceramic processing of various AB 2 S 4 sulfides with the Th 3 P 4 , CaFe 2 O 4 , and spinel structure types was investigated. These refractory sulfides show good sinterability when fired in flowing H 2 S. They can be densified by a combination of hot‐pressing and hot isostatic pressing into theoretically dense ceramics.
